The Yankees have agreed to a deal with left-handed reliever Justin Wilson, per multiple reports.
The 33-year old Wilson pitched for the Mets in each of the past two seasons. He’s a 10-year veteran and pitched to an impressive 2.91 ERA while in Queens.
Overall, he owns a career 3.21 ERA (earned run average) with 18 saves in previous stints with the Pirates, Yankees, Tigers, Cubs, and Mets.
Wilson will be joining a stacked bullpen in the Bronx. Earlier this winter, the Yankees added side-armed reliever Darren O’Day. They’ll be joining a bullpen which already includes Aroldis Chapman, Zach Britton, and Chad Green.
The Mets were reported to be in the hunt for bringing Wilson back to Queens, they’re now rumored to be contact with free-agent Trevor Rosenthal.
The Yankees have not confirmed the agreement yet, it is pending a physical.
