Fordham had no answer for Richmond’s Jacob Gilyard, they also couldn’t take care of the basketball.
Tuesday night, the Rams committed a season-high 22 turnovers in their 83-70 loss to the Spiders, at Rose Hill Gym.
Gilyard matched his career-high with 31 points for Richmond (11-7 overall, 2-3 Atlantic 10). The graduate student has been heating up, scoring 28 points in the Spiders’ previous game; an 87-84 loss to red-hot Davidson.
Darius Quisenberry had 23 points and eight assists for Fordham (9-7 overall, 2-2 Atlantic 10).
The Rams, after only scoring 45 points in their loss at Saint Louis, received solid contributions from Kyle Rose (16 points) and Antrell Charlton (13 points).
Head coach Kyle Neptune, however, can’t be pleased with the turnovers. With conference-leading Davidson next on the schedule, the Rams will need to deliver a cleaner effort, along with continued production from Quisenberry, to help deliver an upset win.
