Six-time NBA All-Star Blake Griffin has agreed to a contract buyout with the Detroit Pistons. Griffin will not become an unrestricted free agent.
According to reports, the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, and Portland Trail Blazers are expected to be among the teams Griffin will be considering.
With Detroit entering a full-fledged rebuild, the time was right for the 31-year old Griffin to pursue a new opportunity elsewhere. He’s averaging 12.3 points per game this season with 5.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists.
