Judge is red-hot right now for the Yankees with 13 RBI in his last five games.
Locked-in doesn’t even begin to describe Aaron Judge right now. The Yankees are streaking with 11 wins in a row, their latest a 9-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. Judge homered and drove in three runs, it was another huge night for face that runs the place.
And make no mistake about it, Judge is the setting the tone right now for this Yankees offense. It was his home run that helped derail a dominant performance from Toronto’s Alek Manaoh. The right-hander had set down 15 straight batters, striking out six, before allowing a single to Aaron Hicks in the top of the sixth inning. Two pitches after Hicks was caught trying to steal second, Judge sent the baseball 427 feet into the second deck in left.
The hone run for Judge was his ninth of the season, tying him with teammate Anthony Rizzo for the big-league lead.
Judge, with his nine home runs, is now slashing .307/.365/.682 on the season. He’s on an MVP-type push right now in a year where he’s betting on himself.
