Adama Sanogo powered No. 25 UConn to a 76-59 win over Butler, Tuesday night in Hartford.
It was the first of two games this week between the two programs.
Sanogo has been rolling for the Huskies. His 13 points and 15 rebounds were too much for the Bulldogs. It was the third straight double-double for Sanogo, who also blocked four shots.
This game was originally scheduled for Jan. 1, but was postponed because UConn (12-4 overall, 3-2 Big East) was dealing with COVID-19 issues.
For Butler (9-8 overall, 2-4 Big East), this was the second game of four straight against ranked teams.
With Sanogo protecting the rim, along with UConn’s strong perimeter game, it’s beginning to come together for head coach Dan Hurley.
