The New York Giants traded defensive lineman B.J. Hill and a conditional 2022 seventh-round draft choice to the Cincinnati Bengals for offensive lineman Billy Price on Monday.
Hill is a 2018 third-round pick out of N.C. State, he did not play in Sunday’s preseason finale against the New England Patriots. Now we see there was a trade in the works for Big Blue.
It’s no secret the Giants needed depth on the offensive line. Price, a 2018 first-round pick, brings depth and versatility. He’s seen playing time at center and guard in the NFL.
The pick, which the Giants used to select Hill, was part of the return package for trading Jason Pierre-Paul to the Buccaneers.
Hill is entering the final season of a four-year, $4.04 million contract. Price is also entering the final year of his rookie deal.
