Blake Griffin signing with the Brooklyn Nets is getting closer to becoming a reality.
The former Detroit Pistons power forward cleared free agency waivers and is expected to sign with the Nets, according to The Athletic.
The move for Griffin to Brooklyn will team him up with NBA All-Stars Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden.
Griffin, a six-time All-Star, recently agreed to a contract buyout with the Pistons. He would add to the frontcourt depth for the Nets in their pursuit of an NBA championship this season.
