The Brooklyn Nets have requested waivers on guard/forward Andre Roberson, guard Iman Shumpert and forward Noah Vonleh.
Roberson was originally signed by Brooklyn on Feb. 16, logging 22 minutes across two games. Shumpert signed with the Nets on Jan. 30, playing six minutes in one game. Vonleh was signed by Brooklyn on Feb. 8, seeing action in 11 minutes over four games.
With the Nets looking to maintain roster and salary cap flexibility this season, general manager Sean Marks might be walking around with his cell phone gorilla glued to his hand. The deadline for contracts to become guaranteed is also looming this week, it likely played a role Brooklyn’s roster movements.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Shumpert and Roberson are expected to rejoin the Nets once they clear waivers, with 10-day deals respectively.
Moreover, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN is reporting the Nets are expected to sign Tyler Cook to a 10-day contract.
