The Giants will play on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day.
In the second season of the NFL’s expansion to a 17-game schedule, the Giants will play nine home games for the first time since their inaugural season in 1925.
The Giants will begin a season vs. the Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans franchise for the first time since a 34-14 victory against the Oilers in Yankee Stadium on Sept. 16, 1973.
The Giants will play eight away games, including a trip to London where they’ll take on the Green Bay Packers.
For just the third time in their 97-year history, the Giants will play 17 regular-season games. Six of those games will be against 2021 playoff teams: Dallas and Philadelphia twice each and once each against Green Bay and Tennessee.
Under first-year head coach Brian Daboll, the Giants will play four teams with new head coaches: Chicago (Matt Eberflus), Minnesota (Kevin O’Connell), Houston (Lovie Smith) and Jacksonville (Doug Pederson).
Since the increase in regular season games to 17, each team plays three preseason games. The Giants’ preseason foes (dates and times will be announced in the future):
- Week 1 at New England
- Week 2 vs. Cincinnati
- Week 3 at the Jets
The Week 3 Monday night contest vs. Dallas is the Giants’ only currently scheduled night game.
